Finding items using Quick Find

To find items using Quick Find:

  1. Click the Quick Find button to the right of a lookup field to open the Quick Find dialog box. The Quick Find button is also available next to some code fields, such as Category, Folder, and Brand.

    If there are more items in the Quick Find dialog box than allowed by the Query Restriction, Service Desk displays the following message.

    If this message is displayed, you can choose to cancel the search, open the Quick Find dialog box or use the Advanced Find dialog box instead: 

  2. In the Quick Find dialog box, search results are displayed depending on what view you select. You will be able to select from table, tree or explorer type views.
  3. Use the scroll bar to navigate and select the item you want, or type the first few search code characters for the item in the Look for field. Service Desk automatically selects the item that matches the typed characters. 
  4. Click OK.
