You can control the way dates are displayed in Service Desk. The
changes you make do not affect other users. Three types of date
format are supported: short, medium, and long. You construct date
formats using date-time symbols.
After you have specified the format for each type, you can select a
date type to be displayed in the following areas of Service
Desk:
Date fields in forms
Date component of date-time fields in forms
Date fields in views
Date component of date-time fields in views
For example, you may want to display the short date format in a
particular table view, and the medium or long date format in
forms.
To change the format of date fields:
Choose Options from the Tools
menu.
Click the Date formats tab.
Specify the required format options using valid date
symbols.
Use the sample date format displayed in the
Sample field to verify the settings.
Click Apply to apply the changes and leave the
dialog box open, or click OK to apply the changes
and close the dialog box. Alternatively, click
Cancel to cancel the changes.
