Finding items using the Advanced Find dialog box

To find an item using the Advanced Find dialog box:

Open the advanced find dialog box in one of the following ways:
- Choose Advanced Find from the Tools menu to find items of the current view's type.
- Click Advanced Find in the toolbar to find items of the current view's type.
- In a form, choose Advanced Find from the lookup item menu to find an item that can be referred to in the field of the lookup item button
- In a form, place the cursor in any text field and choose Advanced Find from the Tools menu to find items that include similar phrases or keywords.
- Click Advanced Find in a dialog box containing an Advanced Find button to find items that are in the list or can be added to the list you are working with.
- Press F2 at any time.
From the Look for list, select the item you want to search for. The Look for list is disabled when you use the Advanced Find dialog box from the lookup item button or from a button below a list.
In the View list, select the view you want to use for viewing the results of your search.
Enter search criteria in one or more fields. Any of the following:
- Click the first tab to use the item's tab.
- Click the More Choices tab to use the More Choices tab.
- Click the Advanced tab to use the Advanced tab,
The items you find with the Advanced Find dialog box will comply to all criteria you entered in the three tab pages.
When you finished entering criteria, click Find Now.

NOTES: To save your search and use it again later, choose Save Search from the File menu in the Advanced Find dialog box. In the Save Search dialog, type a name for the search.
